Description: A modern silver jewellery item, probably a head- or chest-ornament and dating to the nineteenth century. The ornament is circular with one projecting knop at the top and three projecting loops at the bottom. The projecting hooks are integral. Their rivet heads are circular with a single raised dome in the centre, surrounded by a concentric ring, the shafts project downwards and curve to the underside of the chatelaine where they reattach at the rear. An incomplete copper alloy Mount of Post-Medieval date (AD 1650-1750). The object is composed of a large open work plate in the form of highly stylised floral motif, similar in form to a pot of lilies which (as the finder comments) is a symbol of Annunciation within Medieval Christian symbolism. A complete knapped probable gunflint blank from which gunflints for flintlock muskets of Post-Medieval date, c.AD 1600 - 1900, could be produced. Copper alloy object, kindly identified as part of a pistol or musket of English manufacture by Kevin Leahy. Kevin comments as follows: 'I think I know what this is: the long lug with a pin through it is typical of the way that English guns were fixed together and I think that what you've got is a bit of trigger guard from a flintlock or percussion gun'. A gilded lead horse harness pendant of post medieval date (c. 1700 - c.1800). It is in the form of an eight petalled flower, the lobate petals aranged around a cetral boss. Traces of gilding remain on all petals. The rear surface is flat and undecorated. There is a corroded iron pin 41 mm in length apparantly soldered as a replacement for the original suspension loop. Diameter is 39.5 mm, thickness 5.5 mm. Weight 38.4 g.

A cast iron Post Medieval cannon ball, probably dating to circa AD 1500 - 1700. The object is spherical in shape with pitting and corrosion visible on the surface. The cannon ball has an orange coloured patina across its surfaces. Abrasion caused by movement whilst within the plough soil may have resulted in the loss of some of the original surface detail and full diameter and weight. A late Medieval to middle Post-Medieval copper-alloy sword pommel. The open end has a flat blunt edge allowing the artefact to be placed standing unsupported on a flat surface. It has a variable thickness ranging from 0.9mm to 3.5mm at this open end. The artefact is an elliptical-cylindrical, measuring 22.5mm x 16.4mm at the open end, with a closed domed apex. At the centre of the domed end is a sub-rectangular aperture measuring 5.4mm x 2.2mm at the narrower end and 2.5mm at the wider end.
