An incomplete stone perforated object, dating to from the Mesolithic to the Bronze Age (c.9,000-1,600 BC). The stone is broadly square in plan, but tapers slightly to a terminal with a worn break. A circular concave area is present on each side just before the break, resulting in the oval cross section narrowing at the centre. This suggests that the stone has been partially perforated. One indent has a dark brown patina on some areas. The other terminal is oval in cross section and also terminates in a worn break. A mesolithic waste flake, with evidence of retouch. The striking platform and the bulb of percussion have been removed, but the ripples survive. Numerous blade flakes have been removed from both surfaces. Some natural cortex survives.
