An incomplete cast copper alloy medieval cauldron vessel. The oval-section leg is in the form of an animal leg and has a slight ridge at the front and back. The leg terminates with an angled hoof with defined toes and the flat base of which is pointed oval in shape. The length is 42.0mm, the maximum width is 18.4mm and the weight is 28.81g.

A complete cast lead medieval spindle whorl. The bi conical spindle whorl has a circumferential ridge and a central misshapen circular perforation with a diameter of 10.6mm. Both faces are decorated with radiating lines with three raised pellets between. The spindle has sustained some damage from the plough and is quite worn in places. The diameter is 27.0mm, the thickness is 17.7mm and the weight is 50.45g.

A complete cast copper-alloy strap end, dating to the 15th Century.
The strap end is formed from two plates. The front plate is much larger than the back plate and the two are joined together via four rivets (two iron and two copper alloy). The strap end in roughly rectangular in shape with two leaf-shaped extensions, projecting from one of the shorter sides of the rectangular. A cast lead weight. The weight is triangular in shape and slightly thicker at the top (5.3mm), than at the base (4.7mm). The overall size is 36.4mm x 18.4mm. The weight has been decorated with a triangular of incised dashes, which act as a border around the edge of the weight.
It is possibly medieval in date, although this is not definite.

An incomplete cast copper-alloy key dating to the medieval period. The key comprises a hollow, circular-sectioned stem, which widens towards the bit. The tip measures 10mm in diameter. The stem of the key is decorated with incised parallel bands, in groups of three. Much of the surface of the stem is missing, due to heavy corrosion and pitting.
The bow is completely missing, due to the break. But the bit survives intact. There is a channel below the stem and the bit is only joins to it via a very narrow and short section of the bit. The bit is rectangular in shape and has four wards …

A cast bronze handle from a heavy-duty bronze vessel.
The handle has broken off the vessel, allowing the section to be seen. It is sub-rectangular and measures 19.2mm x 7.5mm. The handle is flat but stepped down for the terminal, which is rounded and measures 15.1mm x 12.4mm.
The upper surface is decorated with an incised geometric design, partly formed from ring and dot designs.

A lead medieval seal matrix, flat with a looped lug on the reverse (now squashed). Pointed oval, 35.1 mm x 21.8mm. Lug at 12 o'clock position. The central motif is a tall and thin stylised fleur de lys. The inscription reads + S' AVICE MARSCAL (Seal of Avice Marshall). The M is rather unusual, looking a bit like an E on its side. is reading is rather uncertain due to the level of corrosion on the matrix and the way in which the letters have been drawn. It is a personal seal and features a name, rather than a motto. 13th century.

A complete cast copper alloy medieval buckle. The single loop rectangular frame has an expanded outer edge with six grooved. There is a casting spur on the curved side of the frame and the strap bar is off set. Wrapped around the bar is a copper alloy wire pin. The length is 17.3mm, the width is 14.6mm, the thickness is 4.3mm and the weight is 3.31g.

A rim fragment from a cast copper alloy vessel, probably of medieval date. The angle of the rim suggests that this fragment came from a low, flat dish or bowl. The section expands 6.0mm away from the edge, before tapering to a rounded rim. A bend on the edge opposite the rim is not an original feature. The length is 19.4mm, the width is 19.0mm, the thickness is between 1.63 and 2.0mm and the weight is 3.95g.

Probably a fragment of a cast lead medieval pilgrim badge. The fragment is in the form of a cross, but is broken along all ends. The horizontal bar is slightly convex and is decorated with a raised zigzag line. The broken sections above and below the horizontal bar have the same decorated line going down the centre. The surviving length is 21.9mm, the surviving width is 18.8mm, the thickness is 3.0mm and the weight is 2.98g.

A fragment of a Medieval ring brooch. The incomplete cast copper alloy pin is all that survives of the brooch. The attachment loop is truncated and the opposite end of the bar is missing. The bar has a D-shaped section and increased in thickness towards the loop and where it becomes keeled with notches. Beneath the bar is a pointed spur. The length is 36.4mm, the width is 6.0mm, the thickness is 12.8mm and the weight is 7.28g.

A complete copper alloy medieval strap end. The strap end has a central spacer with a terminal consisting of a collar moulding and a ball and cone knob. On either side of the spacer is a copper alloy sheet plate secured at the top and bottom with a copper alloy rivet. A complete copper alloy sheet medieval furniture fitting. On one end is a shield-shaped plate, below which is a strip of metal with a leaf-shape terminal. This end of the strip is folded back 180ยบ and the edges are chamfered. There are rivet holes through both ends of the strip. This object may be some sort of decorative fitting from a casket or book and a mediaeval date seems likely. The length is 29.7mm, the width is 16.4mm, the thickness is 1.6mm and the weight is 5.07g.

A fragment of a copper alloy sheet medieval strap end. The plate fragment could be a spacer and is in the form of a crescent with a fleur-de-lis terminal. Through the plate are three rivet holes, one in centre of the terminal and one on either side of the crescent. The edges of the plate have been chamfered. The surviving length is 25.6mm, the width is 17.4mm, the thickness is 1.1mm and the weight is 1.44g.
