A tertiary flint scraper. This flint has a subtriangular cross-section with a longitudinal mid ridge along one surface. The opposite side has evidence of a shallow bulb or percussion and very shallow S-shaped profile indicative of soft hammer working. All surfaces are heavily recorticated except for the areas of retouch suggesting that these are evidence of more recent reworking. A primary flint, very late and very crudely made, scraper. A large inclusion occupies approximately half of the inner surface of the flint, which seems to have two hinge fractures along two edges. The most obvious of these has an abrupt near vertical angle although this may account for later damage. The other possible hinge fracture, if it is such, is much more subtle running along the edge of the flint. A tertiary flint, late, scraper. This piece of flint is a pale orangey-brown suggesting that it had been subjected to iron staining and a pale grey shows through on the areas of retouch. The retouch is short, scaled and abrupt. A fragment of fossil or shell impression is present on one side of this object. Weight is 10.43g, length is 44.3mm, width is 34.0mm and thickness is 10.3mm. A flaked flint dagger of early Bronze Age date, 2,500-1,500BC. The object is a pointed oval in plan and lozenge shaped in cross-section. The flint is flaked on each face with covering retouch. Along each long edge and around the point is short, parallel low-angle retouch. The implement has been made on a grey-brown to dark grey flint. Dimensions: 141mm in lenght, 47mm in width (at centre), 6mm thick (at centre), 10mm in width (at the point), 14mm in width (at the butt end). The object is sub-triangular in plan with a lozenge shaped cross-section. The flint has a rounded point and two seperate barbs. There is no central tang and it does not appear that one has broken away. The object has short parallel long angled retouch along each edge and is flaked on each surface. One long edge measures 5mm thick, while the opposite long edge is just 2mm thick. The arrowhead is on a light grey flint with no remaining cortex. Dimensions: 53mm in lenght, 25mm in width (at base), 3.5mm in width (at tip), 5.5mm thick, 5.4g.

An incomplete and undecorated Bronze Age copper-alloy Picardy pin (1400 BC-1250 BC). This object is circular in cross-section throughout its length with a cell/recess at the top and a swollen shaft. At the top, the sides of the cell are vertical. From here the sides taper inwards and then flare outwards before gently tapering inwards towards a transverse break at the bottom. Dark grey flint knife. Oval knife with abrupt hard hammer working from various directions covering both sides. There is a suggestion of battering along one edge of what may have been the dorsal aspect, to judge from the curved profile of the flake. Dr Kevin Leahy kindly suggests that the low angle retouch should suggest the identification of this object as a knife, rather than a scraper, which was the initial suggestion advanced by this reporter. A complete knapped lithic implement of Bronze Age date, circa 2350 - 800 BC. The implement is a large knife formed from a primary flake which is ovate in plan and D-shaped in section. Both surfaces are irregular with numerous flakes having been removed and roughly 90% cortex is retained on the dorsal surface and 50% on the ventral surface. Shallow semi-invasive retouch is present along the distal edge and into the both the left and right edges. The flint is a dark brownish-grey colour with lighter inclusions. The implement is 46.2mm long, 59.9mm wide, 13.8mm thick and weighs 41.9g.

Probably an early Bronze Age anvil stone dating to between c2100 and c1500 BC.. It reminiscent of the Early Bronze Age anvil stones from a smiths grave at Lunteren in the Netherlands; see http://1501bc.com/page/rijks_museum_oudheden/0214038.JPG. It is incredibly heavy for its size (too heavy for the finds scales) and shows evidence of continual impacts that appear deliberately placed. Possibly part of a late Bronze Age dish-shaped ingot dating 1150 to 800BC. The fragment is sub-cuboid in shape with a rough area on one surface which could be where the cast bronze was open to the air in the mold. The patina is a light green and constant with a Bronze Age date. Similar to KENT-605B16, SWYOR-9226F6, and in a hoard KENT-0F86A5 on the database. The length is 78mm, 60mm wide and 35mm in thickness and the weight was too heavy for the scales.

The toggle is broadly circular in section, cylindrical in plan with tapering ends and a hole possibly for an attachment loop near one terminal. This object is difficult to date but it could be Late Iron Age - Roman 300BC - 410AD or even later. The object shares some similarities with LANCUM-3D1943 The length is 36mm, and the width is 10mm.
