Copper-alloy small-long brooch of early Anglo-Saxon date (c. 450-550 AD). The head, bow and top of the foot survive; the terminal of the foot is missing and the iron spring and pin are lost. The head has a raised central panel with a wide flat undecorated border around. The upper corners are extended into 'horns' which curve outwards and taper to a point. On the reverse of the headplate is a pin lug; the details of this cannot be seen as it is covered with iron corrosion. The bow has a small rectangular-section area to top and bottom, and in between has a long facet on either side …

Solid copper-alloy object in the shape of a horse's head, probably a terminal from a knife handle. It has a base 15mm long and sub-oval or sub-rectangular in cross-section. This is apparently complete, and has a groove around it just above the lower edge, perhaps to help fix it into a hole in a larger object. At the other end, it tapers into the narrower neck of the horse, which is more rounded in cross-section. Above this is a very stylised head, with a slightly open mouth. The nose is bevelled to either side in the centre, with the corners left unbevelled as nostrils and another …

An incomplete cast copper-alloy single loop spur buckle dating to c.1250-1450. The oval frame is now largely missing (worn/corroded breaks) with small lobed knops either end of the strap bar which are also now quite worn. The remains of a separate copper-alloy rivet are evident below the strap bar and a small part of the pin remains attached, wrapped around the bar through a pin hole. The integral plate narrows from the frame to a waist-like centre, and then expands to an oval area where the remains of a second separate copper-alloy rivet are evident. The frame then extends to two fur…

Early Medieval (Anglo-Scandinavian) copper-alloy stirrup-strap mount, 49 mm long, 36mm in width, 6mm thick and weighing 31.7g. It is openwork and decorated with two rather angular animal heads, one positioned above the other in the centre. Each head has a double V-shaped or inverted chevron ridge forming brows above a triangular nose and raised globular eyes. The upper head sits in the apex of the triangle, just below a central fix…

Lead object, perhaps a 1oz weight. Thick, flat and circular, it is slightly trapezoidal in cross-section with one circular face being smaller than the other. The larger face (probably the reverse) is undecorated, but the smaller face appears to have an off-centre cross scratched or engraved into the surface. There also appear to be some pellets, but these look more like casting flaws than deliberate decoration. Maximum diameter 24mm, thickness 6mm. It weighs 26.1g (0.92oz).
