A copper alloy zoomorphic terminal from a drop handle, of medieval date (c AD 1250-1500). The object is cylindrical, oval in cross-section, and in the shape of an animal head, perhaps a barking dog. It takes the form of a single narrow trapezoidal curved plate measuring 28.25mm in length, tapering in width from 8.20mm to 4.40mm, 1.45mm in thickness and weighing 1.13g. It has a small rectangular perforation 10.65mm from the narrow end which measures 3.80mm in length. The guard is slightly concave on the handle side.
