A lead alloy spindle whorl. flat on one face but domes on the other, Walton-Rogers Type A1. It does not appear to be patterned, and has an even, white patina.

A lead alloy bi conical spindle whorl. It is circular and quite flat. The design is worn but would have originally been made of triangular shapes, possibly with dots. The edges have been distorted into a wavy, 'pie-crust' form

A lead alloy disc that it possibly a hand made toy, or a weight. It is circular and in section has rounded edges. One face has a central depression which extends across half of the face. Around the raised outer are many parallel lines from the edge into the centre. Set to one side of the blank central portion are two shapes which suggest clock hands, they are thin, pointed triangles which overlap near the widest part. A small, copper alloy model of a quadruped with a long tail, possibly a lioness, leopard or similar. It is missing most of its very thin legs. The body is curled around, the head being inside this curl, facing semi-sideways, with a posisble short mane marked on the back. The waist is narrow and the haunches are well defined. Cast handle from a teaspoon or similar, with moulded ovulos aligned down the centre line of its display side in a linear series which is continued by two or more stamped dots; bowl lost and terminal chipped. The metal is particularly pliable, so this was perhaps homemade. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1675-1775

A Post Medieval lead two disc cloth seal made from two discs of lead held together with a lead strip, dating from AD 1700 - 1900. A central integral rivet from the back of one disc passes through a hole in the other disc and is stamped flat. The seal has the legend R&I in relief on the obverse with the number 829 stamped above it. The imprint of the cloth is visible on the other face.
Measurements are; diameter 24.8mm, thickness 2.5mm and weight 7.83g.

A copper alloy fragment of a Medieval vessel; a pot leg from a cooking vessel that dates from the medieval to post medieval period (about AD 1100-1750). The object has a rectangular cross section and is sub-rectangular in plan. It has a slight central ridge on the outer-side and the back is flat. The leg is straight and there is no foot. Measurements are; length 31.1mm, width 41.3mm, thickness 8.9mm and weight 46.14g.

A late Medieval to Post Medieval copper alloy button dating from AD 1450 - 1600. It has a domed solid head with a central pimple, and an integrally cast attachment loop.
Measurements are; length 15.8mm, diameter 11.8mm and weight 5.37g. The shank of the button is 8.6mm long.

A lead Early Medieval spindle whorl, dating from about AD 850 - 1000. It is of Walton Rogers form A1. The spindle whorl is sub-conical in form, with one flat face and one face with one rounded face. The whorl has a cream patina and is undecorated. Measurements are; diameter 26.9mm, thickness 6.9mm and weight 24.76g. The central hole has a diameter of 11.1mm.
Form A1 whorls are dated by Walton Rogers to AD 500 - 1000. Those with a central perforation of 11mm are more likely to be from the late Anglo Saxon period.
