A complete post-Medieval cast copper-alloy double-looped buckle (c. 1550-c. 1650). The frame is convex at the front and flat at the rear. A central axis bar divides two back-to-back, elongated-D-shaped loops, each loop has a pointed knop, one having a centralled notched pin rest. The central bar is semi circular in cross-section and flat at the rear. The pin is loosely wrapped around the central bar and curves upwards at the tip. A post-medieval (1500-1700) gilded copper alloy belt mount / strap fitting of openwork triangular form (sometimes interpreted as a 'bird in flight'), with a moulded acorn finial D-shaped in cross-section and flat to the underside) at the apex and a flat triangular knop at the centre of the short opposite edge. A flat semi-circular knop extends to either side just before the apex. The internal cut-out triangular area measures max.10.1mm wide and 11.8mm long. A highly abraded Post-medieval ceramic rim sherd, of a local Coarse sandy ware, probably dating to c. AD 1600-1850. A micaeous, sandy oxidised fabric containing frequent coarse quartz and iron stone inclusions, as well as ferrous clay pellets and larger stones. Weight: 20.99g. Sherds of similar fabric were recovered from excavations in Exeter (Allan 1984: 149), probably from a shallow bowl or pan similar to Allan's (1984: 153) form 8.

A medieval (1350-1400) copper alloy buckle frame of Egan's 'rectangular Meols Type C' with sheet copper alloy plate, incomplete in so far as it is missing its pin.The frame has concave sides with a ridge near each corner and a wide outside edge with three transverse grooves at the centre and a bevelled underside. The bar is offset and narrowed for the plate (and missing pin).The sheet plate (0.4mm thick) curves around the bar and is narrowed at the outer corners for rotational purposes. An incomplete Medieval copper-alloy single-looped buckle (c. 1250-c. 1400). The pin is missing. This buckle frame is similar to a Meol's type 10. It has an oval shaped frame with an offset and narrowed bar, thickened at the outer edge. At the outer edge, on the front and rear, there are transverse ridges as decoration.
