An incomplete post medieval cast copper alloy hooked strap fitting, probably for a sword belt, dating between AD 1550 - 1625.
The object consists of a hooked plate and attached loop. The plate is sub-triangular in plan and concave at the short edge forming a shallow V-shaped profile. The plate tapers towards the flat blunt-ended hook that curves back on itself toward the reverse of the plate. The plate features two off centre rivet holes, one of which is encrusted with the remains of an iron rivet.Secured by the hook is a copper alloy circular suspension loop that …

Incomplete copper alloy socketed axehead of probable Late Bronze Age date, c. 1300-700 BC.
The artefact is the blade of the axe and consists of a broadly curved cutting edge with sides that flare out to reveal a hollow interior cavity. The artefact is sub-trapezoidal in plan. The broken edges are transverse to the cutting edge and are uneven, but all edges are abraded and chipped. The artefact has a powdery green patina.

An incomplete copper-alloy military belt plate of Roman date, c.AD. 150 – 300.
The object comprises two ovate panels joined by a narrowed integral D-shape sectioned shaft. A similar shaft extends from the opposite edge of each panel, one terminating is a transverse ridge, the other in a worn break. The panels have raised edges creating recessed cells which retain blue enamel. The reverse is flat and undecorated.
The metal has a mid-green patina and is worn. The object is 22.1mm long, 13mm wide, 2.7mm thick and weighs 2.5g.

The object consists of an oval shaped body, with fixtures that project on either side. One extends upwards before bending at a right angle, followed by a circular plate with a nail affixed to it, and a final rectangular lug extending outward and terminating in a break. The head of the brooch comprises tubular wings which are undecorated. The axis bar and pin no longer remain.
An D-shaped sectioned bow extends centrally from the front of the wings curving steeply round and tapering to a worn break.

A Post Medieval lead alloy bird feeder, dating circa AD 1400-1800.
The vessel is D shaped in section, being flat at the back and rounded at the front. The object has been squashed and in misshapen, with areas of the top lip broken and curving inwards. The base retains the basic D-shape, albeit in a rather flattened form, and has a small circular hole in the centre, possibly for drainage. The object has a (now crushed) opening at the top.

An incomplete copper alloy Medieval sub-annular buckle dating circaAD 1650-1720.
The double looped buckle is sub-annular in shape, decorated with multiple trasnverse grooves on the surface of the frame. The central strap bar is missing and the hole for this is visible on either side of the bar. The buckle is smooth, with an even black surface patina on the front, but an uneven surface patina on the bacl. It is similar to no. 280 in Whitehead (2003, p. 48).

An incomplete copper alloy Medieval spectacle buckle dating circaAD 1400-1600.
The double looped buckle has oval-shaped loops, decorated with multiple oblique incised lines running over the front of the frame. A section of one of the loops is missing. The buckle is worn, with a rough and uneven surface patina. It is similar to no. 287 in Whitehead (2003, p. 52).

The head of the button is discoidal with a convex front and flat back. The front face is decorated with a raised central pellet from which a four-armed cross extends. Each arm of the cross terminates in three flared branches. The spaces between each arm has raised ovate designs with solid ovate central knops.

An incomplete, copper-alloy bell shaped stud, probably a furniture fitting, of Roman date, c.AD 43 - 410. Allason-Jones type 1.
The object comprises a circular disc with a concave upper surface featuring an central integral projecting truncated cone. The reverse of the disc is convex with an integral neck from which a short circular iron shank extends. The shank is broken and worn.
The metal has a dark green patina and is worn. The object is 34.4mm in diameter, 20.4mm thick and weighs 27.1g.

An incomplete copper-alloy annular brooch of medieval date, c.AD 1200 - 1400.
The brooch comprises a circular frame with a narrow rectangular section and six raised circular collets at regular interval to the upper surface. No fill remains within any of the collets. Five of the spaces between the collects are decorated with groups of three recessed pellets. The sixth space is narrowed to house the pin. The pin no longer remains. The reverse is flat and undecorated.

The buckle is D-shaped with a bevelled outer edge, narrowed bar, and half-round pin recess. The upper surface is decorated with a series of ten (10) sub-rectangular cells of red, yellow and white enamel. The bar is flanked by three narrow transverse rectangular cells, the outer two bear yellow enamel, the centre one has white enamel.
A hinge loop projects from the outer flat edge of the frame, behind the bar. The remains of a second hinge loop are present at the opposite end of the bar. This is broken and worn.…
