An incomplete cast copper alloy Medieval or Post-Medieval cooking vessel leg. The leg is sub-rectangular, with breaks on the top and bottom. A body sherd from a ceramic vessel of Iron Age to Roman date (c. 500 BC - AD 100). The sherd is shaped like an irregular pentagon in plan. The sherd is 31.71mm wide at the very top, expanding to 37.72mm wide towards the centre. This expansion is mainly due to the right hand side of the sherd widening, whilst the left hand side slants inwards at an angle, causing this initial section of the sherd to have a parallelogram like shape. The sherd narrows slightly to 35.48mm wide, before tapering to a rounded point at the bottom, though with a greater degree of tapering on the left hand side…
