A cast copper-alloy strap end of the Early Medieval period. A Thomas type A strap end dating to the 8th-11th centuries. The strap end is corroded to an extent that most decoration is obscured. However, two rivet holes are visible on the upper face at the split end and the mouse head terminal retains a little detail. The basic outline of the central panel is also visible, as well as a beast's leg in the panel. The back is undecorated. The split end is infilled by corrosion and soil.

Two incomplete medieval copper alloy possible strap-ends, "folded sheeting with wide gaps at the folds" (Egan and Pritchard 1991, 158-60), both tapering towards the attachment edge and with no decoration present, 13th - 14th century:
- almost all of one half missing, two rivet holes near the attachment edge, length 32.5mm, width 17.1 - 15.6mm.
- part of one half missing, two rivet holes arranged longitudinally, one probably replacing or reinforcing the other, length 20.5mm, width 10.5 - 10mm.

An incomplete sheet copper alloy strap end with silvering, dating to the Medieval period, between AD 1350 – 1450 (length: 32.5mm; width at riveted end: 11.5mm; thickness: 5.5mm; weight: 3.5g).
This strap end is tongue-shaped and sub-triangular in form with a pointed terminal. The artefact comprises of two probable separate sheets, which may have originally had a forked spacer between them. A complete copper-alloy medieval circa 14th century strap end. Rectangular in shape with a rounded terminal end with a small projecting knop in its centre. Measuring 21.40mm in length and 13.26mm in width. There are two opposing copper-alloy rivets, one through the centre of either end. The strap end is filled with soil but probably has a sheet spacer occupying its whole width.

A copper alloy zoomorphic strap end dating to the ninth century AD of Thomas Class A. The strap end comprises a flat plate, the upper surface of which is decorated with a series of incised triangles filled with niello. At the attachment end the plate splits in two to accommodate the strap; there are two rivet holes with iron rivets in situ. The terminal is zoomorphic with eyes and ears rendered as cast decoration. The strap end measures 40mm in length and 7mm in width. At the attachment end it has a thickness of 5mm.

A fragment of a copper-alloy strap end of probable late 13th to early 15th century AD date.
Only one plate survives from what would originally have been a composite strap end. The plate is shield-shaped, tapering slightly in width from the horizontal top edge to the horizontal bottom edge. There are two small circular rivet holes - one at each of the two top corners - and one of these contains a copper-alloy rivet. The reverse of the plate has traces of a silver coloured solder. A copper alloy strap end in the form of an elongated triangle with two semi circular shapes cut out of the wide end. The narrow point is broken. The object appears to be cast in one piece with a slot at the top to take the strap. It does not seem to be made up of two plates and a forked, inner separator as some medieval strap ends are. Early Medieval cast copper alloy strap end, dating from the 9th to 10th century AD. The strap end is rectangular in plan, and is decorated on both surfaces. A copper alloy strap end dating to the ninth century AD of Thomas' Class A, Type 1. The strap end is flat and trapezoidal in shape. It possesses a sub-zoomorphic terminal decorated with two rows of triangular grooves. The upper surface of the body of the strap end is decorated with pairs of opposing semi-circular incisions with a triangular groove between. The split attachment end is broken. The underside of the strap end is plain. It measures 31mm in length and a maximum of 12mm in width.

A copper alloy strap end dating to the ninth century AD of Thomas Class A type. The strap end is convex sided and tapers to a pronounced zoomorphic terminal. The upper surface of the body of the strap end possesses a rectangular decorative panel with a grooved ?foliate pattern. The grooves are filled with silver or niello. Above this panel is a further semi-circular grooved pattern with lines radiating from it. At the attachment end the strap end splits in two and possesses two circular perforations. The strap end measures 44m in length, has a maximum width of 12mm and a thickness of 6mm.

Medieval strap end. Incomplete composite three piece strap end with forked spacer. Only the forked spacer survives. Cast in copper alloy the spacer is tongue-shaped with an acorn knop. The ends of the spacer are broken and bent. The acorn terminal is comprised of a raised collar before a cross-hatched cup holding the acorn. The spacer has a very dark green-black patina. It is 44.81mm long, 16.95mm thickm 5.44mm thick and weighs 6.22 grams. Sililar to Egan & Pritchard 1991, p144 figure 675.
