A cast copper alloy medieval annular buckle, 41.9mm in diameter and complete with pin. The frame has an oval cross section, 3.8mm in thickness, with no pin constriction. The pin is 45.4mm in length with a rounded sub rectangular cross section and a small ridged transverse grip at the junction with the loop which likely aided with the operation of the buckle. The underside of the tip of the pin is heavily worn from use. Circa late 13th-15th century.

An incomplete early medieval copper alloy Anglo Saxon shield on tongue pin for a single loop D or oval shaped buckle dating to c.AD 450-625. On the outer face, the shield of the pin is smooth, polished and undecorated. It is a waisted oval shape with a rounded semi-circular end then two rounded semi-circular cut-outs opposite each other which flare out below to form two rectangular lobes with a nick in each short projecting edge. Incomplete Medieval cast tin alloy buckle, c.AD 1250-1500. This is a single-looped, D-shaped buckle with a scooped reverse face. There are no notches on the frame or strap bar where the pin would have sat. The frame is damaged with pieces missing and edged with old breaks. There is no evidence that the frame has a core of copper alloy that was tinned, suggesting an older Medieval date of this buckle. There is no decoration on any face of the frame.

An incomplete Medieval cast copper alloy anthropomorphic buckle frame. The plate is openwork in the form of a stick figure, with stylised arms forming sub rectangular loops on either side of a slim body with bifurcating legs below, these ending in old breaks. The body and limbs are decorated with rocker arm zig zag decoration. The head is ovate and convex projecting out from the flat body and has crude features of eyes and mouth defined by deep incisions. From the top of the head projects a rounded attachment loop retaining a rivet for attachment to the strap.

The frame is rectangular in cross section and would have been broadly D-shaoed in plan although the strap bar is now lost. A fragment from a Post-Medieval tombac copper alloy buckle dating to c.AD1660-1720. Only one half of one loop survives. The fragment is L-shaped in plan representing most of the narrow edge of the frame and half of one long edge. It is slightly curved in profile. The upper surface is decorated by a moulded  ridge placed at the apex of the narrow edge.
