A complete post medieval lead alloy shot probably from a flintlock military wall gun dating between 1700-1800 AD. The shot is sub-spherical, with a small flattened section possibly resulting from the inclusion of the shot in a multiple load. The shot has numerous linear divots and striations across its surface, possibly caused by gas erosion, an effect occurring at the instant of firing an unwadded projectile. An incomplete post medieval lead powder measure cap, measuring a charge of gunpowder dating to c.AD 1600-1700. The cap has been considerably squashed resulting in significant deformation.
