A plano-convex disc of lead, 76.4mm in diameter and 615g in weight (approximately 2 Roman libra), most likely used as a trade weight. The disc has angled sides with circumferential ridges which suggest it was cast in the base of a ceramic jar or other vessel. The thickness is uneven, varying from 15 to 20mm.

The visible portions of the fragments are of irregular shape and undecorated. There are no evident markings on the weight. Circa AD 800-1100.

An ovoid or egg-shaped lead alloy steelyard weight of 1160g (2.6 lb or approx 3.5 Roman libra), measuring 72.1mm in length. The weight is unmarked and radially symetrical, with pierced holes at either end. The hole at the narrower end appears to contain the stump of a now lost iron suspension loop, which likely ran through the centre of the object, to a looped attachment on the wider end.

A complete flat discoidal lead alloy seal matrix of Medieval (12th-13th century) date. The matrix has an integrally cast and drilled perpendicular suspension loop of around 12mm in length. The die face depicts a three-branched tree of life flanked by pellets. This device is surrounded by a legend within linear borders, which reads SIGILE : GILEB’TI . D : GR(A)[...](Y), likely reading Sigillum (seal of) Gilbert De Grecy / De Gracy; however the last part of the name is heavily damaged which prevents clearer identification.

A cast convex mount or button moulded in the form of a cupid's head. The face, nose, mouth, eyes and hair are all well defined. The reverse is flat with a clear mould line and a single fixing loop or hook, integrally moulded, which attaches to the centre and which has been flattened onto the back of the object. The other end of this loop or hook is separated from the object which may indicate an old break or be the original form of the attachment. Post medieval in date, circa late 16th-18th century.

A lead alloy cloth alnage seal. One side is stamped with a Scottish thistle between small letters I and R, within a beaded double border containing a legend COM':W[..]ES[...]. The reverse has the number 31 within a linear border. The thistle and letters IR suggest that this object dates to the reign of James I (1603-1625). This seal relates to the County of Westmorland. For a much better preserved example, see Elton 2017, 136; also BSG.CS.00872 on the Bagseals website (http://www.bagseals.org).

A medieval lead vesica-shaped flat seal matrix, 39.6mm in length. The matrix is crudely made with a stump of a suspension loop at the top and a flat reverse. The die face has a fleur-de-lis surrounded by the legend + S' WILL' FABRI (seal of William Smith). The B is damaged and hard to read. The absence of a line between central motif and inscription suggests that this matrix may be late 12th century.

A Medieval vesica-shaped or pointed-oval flat lead seal matrix 28.2mm in length. The reverse has a central ridge with a flattened circular suspension loop at the top which has broken on one side due to crushing damage. The die face has an ovate eight petalled floral star with pellets between petals at the top and bottom, surrounded by a linear border. The surrounding legend, in lombardic script, reads: S' hUGOnIS ChVRT, or SIGILLVM (personal seal) of Hugonis, (gen. of Hugo) of Churt, likely the village of Churt in Waverley in Surrey. Circa 13th century.
