A complete post medieval lead alloy shot probably from a flintlock military wall gun dating between 1700-1800 AD. The shot is sub-spherical, with a small flattened section possibly resulting from the inclusion of the shot in a multiple load. The shot has numerous linear divots and striations across its surface, possibly caused by gas erosion, an effect occurring at the instant of firing an unwadded projectile. The weight is patinated a cream colour typical of aged lead. Measurements: height 29.33mm, diameter 20.12mm, weight 73.67mm.  .This mass does not fit with any of the standard systems of weight. It is also possible that this object is not a weight at all. It could be the handle from a bell pull mechanism or similar.
