A corroded iron slide key, similar to Manning (1985) Type 2 of Roman date The key handle is solid and rectangular in cross-section. At one end is a large circular perforation intended as a suspension loop. The bit of the key projects in the same plane as the bow and it is missing its teeth.  The key measures 67.07 mm in total length. The handle has a width of 26.54 mm and a thickness of 6.64 mm. The key bit measures 30.65 mm in length and 13.06 mm in width with a thickness of 13.43 mm. Weight: 48.48g See for parallel NCL-909390

A Medieval Iron axehead, dating to c.AD 1000 - 1500. Possibly a bearded axehead. It is largely trapezoidal, it has a triangular or 'wedge'- shaped blade with a slight curve to the cutting edge; it projects downwards a little more than it projects upwards from the central body of the axe. The socket is triangular in shape with a triangular wing to either side, extending downwards. An incomplete single looped spur buckle with integral buckle plate dating to the Medieval period (c. AD 1250-1400). The single looped spur buckle is formed by a sub-oval frame with straight outer edge, with the buckle plate being pointed and integral to the frame. The object is of the late Bronze Age form and is wedge-shaped with a rectangular socket aperture (inner dimensions: 57.55mm 39.73mm) and 89.31mm in depth. The upper face retains shallow loop. The body of the axe is generally rectangular in profile, with an expanded, crescentic blade. The iron is dry and stable, but flaking and requires conservation. An incomplete post Medieval cast iron rowel spur possibly dating to c. 1600 - 1700 AD. The spur is complete bar the terminals to each arm and one of the points to the 6-pointed rowel. Medieval iron arrowhead, kite-shaped blade with a flat, lozenge section. It appears to have been tanged, the tang separated from the blade by a transverse collar. Length 53.0mm, Width 15.0mm, Thickness 2.6mm, Collar 6.9mm wide, Mass 5.42g. This arrowhead does not fit comfortably into Jessop's 1996 classification but might be best accommodated in his Type T3 although the collar is difficult to parallel. This type was in use in 12th and 13th century.

An incomplete cast, iron early Anglo-Saxon firesteel or strike-a-light. The object takes a peltaic form with a sub-crescentic plate with concave edges extending out into a central point and is rectangular in cross-section. Both sides are heavily corroded with no visible decoration. It is possible that the upturned curved terminals represent zoomorphic heads, other examples have been found inlaid and decorated with stylised birds' heads (Owen-Crock 2004, 68-9).
