An early Medieval contemporary copy of a silver sceatta. Copying a Series E 'Porcupine' Type sceat (c. 675-c. 750). Not further defined. Obverse: 'Porcupine' bust right Reverse: Square beaded standard, annulet at centre within. Uncertain mint and uncertain moneyer. The coin appears to have an Iron core which has been silver plated.
