An Early-Medieval base-silver sceat of Primary Phase, c.700-760. Description: Series E, Variety G2 quilled 'porcupine' type. Obverse: Coarse-quilled crescent right, triangular head with two pellets. Reverse: degenerate beaded standard containing central pellet-in-annulet and broken line either side. Abramson (2012, 189 no 89.20). The coin is quite corroded, worn and chipped. Measurements: 11.93mm in diameter, 2.25mm thick and 0.89g in weight.
