Roman coin of Philip I. It is the size and weight of a radiate (and may well have a radiate obverse - although the portion of the coin showing the back of the head has been broken away), but appears to be made of copper alloy or debased silver. The reverse type commonly appears on radiates of AD 248. The reverse, 'Saeculares Augg', celebrates the 1000th anniversary of Rome.
