A complete base silver radiate of Valerian I, dating to 253-260 AD. Reece period 12, mint of Rome. Reverse; FIDES MILITVM, Fides standing left holding a standard in each hand. RIC V, pt 1, p. 45, no. 89. The coin survives in relatively good condition, though some corrosion products relating to debasement are visible on both its faces. The coin has been struck on a sub-oval blank, and as a result part of the obverse legend is off-flan.
