An early medieval cast strap-end of base silver (see Discussion below). It has a slender, lanceolate tongue which expands from the globular tip and tapers towards a waist-like feature towards the split end, marked with a raised moulding. Behind this is the attachment end, sub-triangular in form with an opening for the strap and a single, central rivet. The strap-end is undecorated.
