It is a tapering D section metal bar, with, at the wider upper end is an oval plate which includes, in relief, a laureate, draped Classical imperial bust, facing, The features are very detailed, but rather crudely executed. The field in the background has a pitted decoration. Part of the top of the suspension loop is missing due to an old break, with only the two lugs and part of the crossbar remaining. The upper and lower hemisphere of the bell is divided by a prominent rib. A fragment of Post Medieval stone pillar capital, dating to c. AD 1550-1700. The find part of a circular ribbed capital with a flat base.  Above the ribbing is a circular band and at the top of the capital there appears to be a layer of cement with a small, flat sherd of slate which has become stuck in the mixture.
