Cast copper alloy unidentified object. The artefact is 'Bird' shaped with loop at one end. The artefact was shown to C Johns and R Jackson at the British Museum. Both gave the artefact a Romano-British date. R Jackson does not believe that the object is associated with a cosmetic set (as identified by the FLO R. Hobbs), and suggested that the artefact was possibly from a lid, acting as a suspension loop for a chain. The object is approximately 37mm long and 10mm wide. The suspension loop has an internal diameter of approximaetly 7mm.
