Complete cast lead bullet of modern date (c.AD 1870-1900). The object is cylindrical with a blunt domed point, around which is recent looking circumferential groove. Post-medieval lead musket balls complete with casting sprue probably dating to c. 1600-c. 1800. The regularity of these balls may suggest their industrial manufacture at an arsenal. The coin has been deliberately pierced in two places and therefore was submitted as potential Treasure resulting in the following report from Dr. Barrie J. The coin is of the 'crown gold' standard, 22 carats fine, and thus over 90% gold. As a sum of money, it would probably have…

A copper-alloy animal mount, possibly for a belt or strap and dating to the medieval period. The mount is in the form of a lion or dog (possibly even a bird), being broken in places and heavily corroded, it is difficult to be certain. The eye is a rivet hole which is now missing its rivet. The reverse of the mount is slightly hollowed which is a result of the casting. There is no trace of gilding or enamelling. The style suggests a date early in the medieval period, perhaps the late 12th to 13th century AD. No direct comparison could be found. It has a greenish patina. The length is 4…
