Pale grey flint debitage fragment. A narrow straight-sided flake with long narrow flakes struck from its dorsal side and with an undulating ventral surface; a white patina has developed over struck surfaces suggesting the object has endured exposure to a calcareous environment. Chips a either end reveal the original tint of the flint, which is probably from the Lincolnshire Wolds. Suggested date: Late Mesolithic, 7000-4000 BC Length: 23.6mm, Width: 10.2mm, Thickness: 3.7mm, Weight: 1.02gms

Flint debitage. Six tiny [of lengths between 24.5mm to 9.4mm] flakes with scars from the removal of narrow or parallel flakes from their dorsal sides, and with flat or bulbar ventral surfaces. A creamy patina across all struck surfaces suggests the objects have subsequently endured a period of exposure to a calcareous environment, and iron-spotting may suggest their incorporation in gravel. As the find-spot is not on chalk the patina may hint that it has been imported. Suggested date: Late Mesolithic, 7000-4000 BC Combined Weight: 5.54gms

Probably mid-brown flint debitage. A thin flake with narrow parallel flakes struck from its dorsal side  and with a flat ventral surface. Short abrupt retouch executed from the dorsal aspect follows one long edge. Fire-crazed overall. A creamy patina lost at a chip at one end [which reveals the tint of the flint] may suggest that the object has endured exposure to a calcareous environment, and hence that it may have been imported to its find spot, which is not on chalk. Suggested date: Late Mesolithic, 7000-4000 BC Length: 31.4mm, Width: 10.8mm, Thickness: 4.8mm, Weight: 1.78gms

Patinated flint debitage with some iron-stained spots. Seven thin flakes [of lengths between 33.8mm and 20.3mm], all with long narrow parallel flakes struck from their dorsal surfaces. The dorsal surfaces are either flat or, for the three smallest flakes, slightly concave. The patina may indicate the objects have endured exposure to a calcareous environment. As the find-spot is not on chalk, this might hint at the importation of chalk and flints, as for building, road-making or marling, in which artefacts were accidentally incorporated.
