An incomplete copper-alloy double-headed button and loop fastener of Roman date, c.AD 43-200. The head is pointed ovate with a central raised circular boss within a deep circumferential recess. The pointed terminal has a slight raised lenticular moulding which tapers into the point. An integral shank extends down from the reverse of the boss and bends at 90 degrees where it widens into a second head. The orientation of the shank results in the heads being on different plains. A complete copper alloy spiral ring of probable Bronze Age to Roman date, c.1500 BCAD 300. The object is formed of a circular sectioned rod of metal with cut ends. The ring has three coils. It is undecorated. The metal has a mid-green patina and is in fair condition. The ring is 15.9mm tall, 27.9mm in diameter, 3.5mm thick and weighs 17.7g. Some rings of this type appear to be made from reused fragments of metal and a few are far too big to have been worn on the finger. TREASURE CASE : 2022 T54 An incomplete gold and glass finger ring of Roman date, c.AD 300-400. The bezel of the ring consists of a thin oval shaped sheet of gold, which connects to the underside of the band.  Set onto the sheet is an oval setting of blue-green glass, the surface of which has broken away, within an oval-shaped gold collar with rounded edges.  Around the outer edge of the setting is an oval of twisted gold wire. TREASURE CASE : 2021 T832 Addendum to 2019 T784. A fragment of a gold disc pendant with inlaid white shell and red stone, probably garnet, of Early Medieval date, c. mid-6th to 7th century. The pendant fragment is formed of a sheet of gold, semi-circular in plan but originally circular when complete. TREASURE CASE : 2021 T774 A complete gold posy ring of Post-Medieval date, c.AD 1650 - 1750. The ring is circular in plan with a D-shaped section. The band is thin. The outer surface is undecorated. The interior surface of the ring is inscribed with lower case cursive text reading ‘Love is the bond of peace’.  The inscription is heavily worn and a deep gouge obscures most of the word ‘bond’.  There is no visible makers’ mark. TREASURE CASE : 2021 T565 A complete silver finger ring of Medieval date, c. AD 1250-1500.
