4 fragments of a puddingstone quern of probable Roman date. Puddingstone is distinctive conglomerate containing rounded red flint pebbles within a siliceous matrix, the main sources of which lie in Hertfordshire. It is missing most of the spring, pin and catchplate due to old breaks, and has suffered from extensive post-depositional wear and corrosion. A group of thirteen Roman pewter vessels was initially exposed during a detecting rally on 3rd September 2022, but as they were clearly a hoard group and in poor condition excavation was postponed until 20th September when conservators were available to help lift the whole group. A small pit was identified as the feature within which the vessels had been buried. Laboratory excavation and conservation was carried out by Norfolk Museum Services. An incomplete Middle Iron Age copper-alloy probable La Tene 1b brooch dating to circa 400-300 BC. The extant piece consists of the bow and foot. The head is pissing but would have been formed of coils. The bow is plano-convex and has a mid-low arch. The foot is reverted and zoomorphic with a rounded head and snout tapering into a point. It has a dark green patina and is heavily abraded.  The brooch is consistent with Adams' La Tene 1b form dating to the 4th century BC (2015).  Length: 47.2mm; Width: 5.3mm; Thickness; 5.2mm; Weight: 8.04g.

From here is a retracted hour glass shaped section which gives way to a thick double moulding. The base of the object was connected to an iron shank due to significant iron corrosion now staining the area. A complete Early Bronze Age stone arm guard (bracer) dating to circa 2300-2100 BC. Broadly rectangular in plan in section it has polished bevelled edges. At either end are located central circular drilled apertures to enable fixing to the arm. The faces of the stone have been smoothed. One end is slightly wider than the other. Broadly linear striations on both faces are the result of the bow having snapped-back during firing. An incomplete copper- alloy Roman trumpet brooch. Only the central and lower bow survive, while the head, foot and catch-plate are all missing. There is an ancanthus moulding in the centre of the bow, which does not extend to the reverse. It is composed of three closely space raised transverse ridges with notches around the outer edges to create petals and is flanked on either side by a raised ridge.
