A fragment of probable Roman copper-alloy bracelet dating to circa AD 250-410. The extant piece consists of a small portion of rectangular sheet metal. It terminates in old breaks at either end. One face is decorated with with three ring and dot designs.
A similar bracelet is illustrated in Crummy (1983: 42), see no. 1704 that was recovered from a context dating to c.AD 350-450

The object is formed of a circular sectioned rod of metal with cut ends. The ring has three coils. It is undecorated.
The metal has a mid-green patina and is in fair condition. The ring is 15.9mm tall, 27.9mm in diameter, 3.5mm thick and weighs 17.7g.
Some rings of this type appear to be made from reused fragments of metal and a few are far too big to have been worn on the finger. It has therefore been suggested that they could have been used as hair ornaments or as harness…

A fragment of a copper alloy brooch from the Roman period, a Hod Hill of Mackreth 3.a. type dating from AD 50-350. Only the head of the brooch survives. It has a rolled forwards tube for the mostly missing iron axis bar, and a slot for the missing hinged pin. There is a concave cross moulding across the top of the bow, and then the upper bow has a central ridge, beaded with transverse lines, and a plain ridge on each side of the bow. Abraded and severely distorted fragment of a Roman copper alloy bracelet, both ends broken not recently. The cross-section is flat and thin, and the sides run parallel. Decoration comprises sets of two pairs of transverse engraved or perhaps punched grooves and, in the spaces between the sets, alternatively, a punched ring-and-dot and oblique cross-hatching. A complete copper-alloy Roman centre looped cosmetic pestle. It is formed from a long curved rod, circular in cross-section and becoming narrower towards each end. Projecting from the centre of the upper edge is a flattened sub-circular loop with slightly angular outer edge. The surface of the metal has a shiny dark brown patina.
Cosmetic pestles were used together with small matching mortars for grinding substances into power for cosmetic and medical application. According to Jackson (2010, 68) centre-looped pestles came into use slightly later than end-looped ones.

A complete gold finger ring (Guirauid Type 9a/ Henig Type IX) of Roman date (c.200-410).
Description: The ring is polygonal, however now squashed almost flat, with eight inward curving facets creating pronounced ridges between each one. The ring expands from a relatively narrow band to create an implied bezel. Here, the facets have outward curving outer edges. The surface of the ring is undecorated but is pitted and nicked. It has a matte patina.

Complete copper alloy axehead of probable Bronze Age date, possibly early Bronze conforming to Needham's Class 2D Halberton type, c. BC 2350-1601.
The axehead has a trapezoidal shape with straight sides, a broad butt, and very minimal blade tip expansion. The cutting edge is largely in tact and free from knicks and breaks. it has a lenticular, narrow profile. The patina is powdery, pale green with some surface pitting.

A complete cast copper alloy Roman disc brooch with some remaining gilding, c.AD 200-350.
The front of the brooch is comprised of four concentric circular ridges starting at the edge of the brooch and going into a small circular ridge in the centre. Between the second and third of the raised ridges there remains a small portion of gilded ribbon decoration. On the reverse of the brooch the catchplate and pin remain intact, although the pin is slightly bent.

The object is convex and 'T-shaped' in plan, the phallus itself being triangular in cross-section and its straight sides gradually converging towards the raised, moulded tip.
