Copper alloy and brooch fragment. Cast hinged Colchester derivative brooch, Mackreth type CD H 3.a. Tubular wings bear six vertical ribs on their display sides, though plain behind, and retain an axis bar for a hinged pin [lost]. Some or all of the beaded ribs may bear cross-cut nicks, albeit now smoothed by wear. A plain D section bow with a central ridge clasps the wings, and there are indistinct curvilinear features which flank the ridge. The lower bow and foot are lost. Suggested date: Late Iron Age to Early Roman, 40-120. Length: 23.1mm, Width: 44.8mm, Thickness: 6.4mm, Weight: 14.21gms

A complete, but worn, post-medieval uniface copper-alloy coin weight for the gold angel of James I, pre 1619 based on the mass (Withers and Withers 1995, 68). The coin weight is square. A complete copper-alloy zoomorphic vessel mount Iron Age date, c.100 BC - AD 100. The mount comprises a sub-D-shaped loop with zoomorphic decoration and a split attachment terminal. The zoomorphic element comprises an ovate shaped and sectioned beast head with prominent brow and rounded, slightly outward turned snout. An incomplete copper alloy shoe or knee buckle, with its central bar and pin missing dating to the post-medieval period (c. AD 1660-1720). The top and bottom edges are incurved, and decorated with three transverse mouldings. The outside edges are outcurved, with some relief decoration around grooved pin rests. One of the pin rests has iron corrosion, suggesting an iron pin. There are also traces of a separate iron bar around which the pin was hinged. A cast copper-alloy fragment probably part of the sheath from the side of a late early-medieval stirrup, or possibly part from the upper end of a stirrup terminal (c. 11th century AD). The curved hollow reverse would have enclosed the sides of the stirrup's iron frame; it retains possible traces of a lead-alloy solder. The fragment is U shaped in cross-section. A Late Bronze Age copper alloy tanged chisel, probably dating to c. 1150-600 BC. The chisel is incomplete as the tang is missing. The blade is a elongated sub-triangle with concave sides and a convex blade edge. The corners of the blade are flared outwards and are abraded and therefore rounded. The blade as it tapers becomes rectangular in section. At the tip there is an integral rectangular sectioned collar with a fragment of the integral tang protruding from the upper edge.
