An incomplete copper alloy enamelled disc brooch dating to the Roman period (c. AD 80-250). The brooch is round in plan and flat in profile. The face of the brooch has been stamped with an inscription across two lines reading: SIA // MAS. A raised horizontal ridge separates the top line of lettering from the bottom line. Some traces of red enamel adhere to the face of the brooch around the letters. The reverse of the object is undecorated with a few vertical scratches possibly from filing. An incomplete cast copper-alloy palstave axe dating to the Middle Bronze Age (c. BC 1600-1400). The palstave is near-complete with only part of the broken butt missing. The palstave is roughly sub-rectangular in shape and flattens and flares outwards to form a wide rounded blade, giving the object a slender elongated sub-ovular shaped cross-section. A copper-alloy pin dating to the Roman period. The pin consists of a circular-section stem which at one end is decorated with a 9mm section of horizontal grooves which create the head. At the other end, the stem tapers to a point. The stem of the pin is bent and split approximately 12mm underneath the grooved decoration at just over a 90 degree angle. The pin measures 66mm in length and 3mm in maximum diameter. It weighs 2.77 grams.
