A cast, copper-alloy, strap-mounted terret of Roman date, around AD 43 - 250, of Lewis type xix. The terret comprises a main ovate ring, which is broken at the narrowest point, with an integral rectangular loop projecting from the base. A copper alloy fragment of a Middle or Late Bronze Age dirk or rapier dating from the Penard phase, about 1300 BC - 1140 BC. Only the butt end survives. The rapier or dirk is would have had a blade likely to be about 300mm long which would have originally tapered to a fine point.  The blade is a shallow oval in cross-section (characteristic of Group 4 rapiers) and bevelled.
