Cast lead token, of Medival or Post Medieval date c. 1400-1800. Bifaced, one side bears what appears to be a triquetra motif, the other an incomprehensible design. One one side of the disc is the stub of the casting gate, through it is a key-hole shaped perforation. Diameter 18.2mm, Thickness 1.8mm, Mass 3.13g.

A copper alloy, farthing trade token from Oxfordshire by Humphry Bodicott c. AD 1652-1660. Obverse with a vintner's bush and HVMPHRY BODICOTT. Reverse has three tuns to centre field and VINTENER IN OXON. The coin has a dark green patina with some surface erosion. Bodicott was a Vintner and landlord of The Three Tuns public house in Oxford near All Souls College. Bodicott died in AD 1660. Norweb no. 3683a-3684b. Leeds 27. A large lead alloy discoidal token or seal of lead alloy and probably dating to the Roman period. The token is uniface and the obverse depicts a crude, or intentionally derogatory depiction of a male; presumably an emperor, the image wears a radiate crown and has a large hooked nose and large lips. There does appear to be evidence for some form of inscription around the edge. The reverse of the token is smooth and plain however it is slightly rounded giving the token a slightly dished profile. A complete cast lead circular unifaced token of Medieval to Modern date (1250-1850). The token has a raised design consisting of two curving lines with a pellet between them. The reverse is plain. Diameter: 19.4mm; weight: 4.34g. Lead tokens had a wide variety of uses and were made locally, they are therefore hard to date precisely, this example could be Medieval to Modern c.1250-1850 AD.
