The token is decorated on one face with a long cross and a pellet in each quarter; the other face is undecorated. It measures 18.04mm in diameter and 2.29 mm thick and weighs 4.25 grams. Lead tokens were easy to produce and widely circulated; examples with long cross and pellet designs were originally meant to emulate medieval long cross pennies, however they continued in use throughout both the medieval and post-medieval periods. Two arms of the cross remain with the pellets in each surviving quarter; approximately half of the original flan remains, truncated by a rough break. Diameter 19.3 mm, Thickness 1.74 mm, Weight: 1.61 g. The condition is good with some surface corrosion present.
