The token is decorated on one face with a long cross and a pellet in each quarter; the other face is undecorated. It measures 18.04mm in diameter and 2.29 mm thick and weighs 4.25 grams. Lead tokens were easy to produce and widely circulated; examples with long cross and pellet designs were originally meant to emulate medieval long cross pennies, however they continued in use throughout both the medieval and post-medieval periods. An incomplete post-medieval cast lead uniface token probably dating to the 17th to mid-18th century. Powell Type 2 depicting initials, dating to c. 1600-c. 1750. The token is decorated with initials W [L], the second letter not being clear, with an abstract design below and a small x to right of bottom. The reverse is blank. Around a third of the original flan has been lost to two breaks. The surviving token measures 21.17 mm in diameter and is 1.35 mm thick and weighs 2.25 g. Its condition is good with some surface corrosion present.
