It measures 15.5mm in diameter, 0.73mm in thickness and weighs 0.921g. It is noted that the reverse device (initials) is not set in the same alignment as the inscription; the inscription starts at 9 o'clock (Thompson & Dickinson 1999, Pl. 7; no. 5554a-c).
The depiction of a rat is a reference to George Godfery's profession: on another token he is described as 'RAT KILR' (Williamson 1967, 1245; Wiltshire no. 189).
