A post-medieval probable lead-alloy English token issued based on a jetton of Charles IX of France (1560-1574). Allegorical type inscribed SVBDVC-ENDIS S. [...]EC[...], dating to c. 1574. Mint uncertain. See Mitchiner (1991, 1012) no. 3053 for a comparable piece. It measures 28.81 mm in diameter and weighs 5.18 g. This unusual item has been marked as a Find of Note. See also Mitchiner (1991, 1012) no. 3052 for a probable jetton prototype imitated here (Feuardant no. 1748).
