An incomplete copper alloy Roman Initial T-shaped brooch, dating to c.AD 50-150. It has a complete cylindrical  cover with a central slot for the missing hinged pin. Both ends of the case are also complete. The top of the bow protrudes slightly above the front of the wings. The bow is flat-backed, and the top 8mm of the front is plain, whilst below that it is decorated with reeding consisting of several ribs with central grooves. An incomplete copper alloy Roman brooch of the Wirral type dating to c.AD 100-200. The brooch is mostly complete just the headloop, wings and pin and lower bow missing. The brooch presents a stepped head with three horizontal lines, the upper and lower of these lines retain bright orange enamel. On the reverse of the head is the hinge mechanism for the pin. From the base of the front of the head stretches the bow which begins in a slightly rounded arch that then curves inwards and tapers to an incomplete narrowed end. A fragment of a Roman copper alloy Colchester derivative Polden Hill type brooch, dating to c AD 40 - 120. All that remains is the head and a very short stretch of D section bow. The head is made up of semi cylindrical wings which cradle the spring and a pierced lug on a crest at the apex which holds the chord of the spring. The axis bar, which passes through the centre of the coils of the spring, is held in the two end caps. It is not clear how many coils remain.
