An incomplete and bent cast copper alloy Roman Initial T-shaped brooch, of Colchester derivative hinged pin type (Mackreth (2011) CD H) dating to the late 1st to early 2nd century AD. The wings are cylindrical with moulded lobes around each end and contain remains of an iron axis spindle which has corroded, expanded and broken the wings in places. A large cast copper alloy Roman  brooch of Colchester derivative Harlow double-lugged type (Mackreth 2011, CD Ha 1,  Plate 32) dating to the first century AD. The arms are semi-cylindrical with moulded ridges and shoulders, and the catchplate is openwork and largely incomplete. Copper alloy developed T-shaped brooch that has tubular wings which hold the pin axis bar, there is a slot in the centre rear of the wings for the pin which in complete. On the top of the head is the remains of a broken loop, below on the first third of the bow is a rectangular cell that has a row of diamonds running down the centre, resulting is two rows of opposing triangle cells, all of which are filled with red enamel.  The brooch is truncated at the apex of the bow.
