COS V P P S P Q R OPTIMO PRINC, DAC CAP (in exergue) reverse type depicting a Dacian seated left on a pile of arms. Mint of Rome. cf. RIC II, p. 251, no. 98. The coin has extensive corrosion and flaking to both faces, which might indicate this is possibly a contemporary plated copy.

Treasure Case 2023 T381 A fragment of a silver-gilt early medieval Trewhiddle style hooked tag, stylistically dating it to the 9th century (c.AD 800-900). The surviving fragment is a broadly triangular shape, flat and decorated on one side, terminating with two very worn rectangular lugs that originally may have been hooks.
