Description: A fragment of a solid gold penannular ribbon bracelet dating from the Middle Bronze age to the Late Bronze Age, about BC 1150 - BC 750. The fragment is the buffer terminal of a penannular bracelet, which has a plain and sub-circular cross-section at the terminal, tapering to a flat rectangular cross-section. The object is partially cut and partially broken about 10mm from the end of the terminal. Dimensions: The object is 11.98mm in length, 6.33mm in width, 4.55mm in thickness and it weighs 2.44g. A clipped imitation of a medieval gold quarter noble of Edward III (1327-1377). The obverse shows annulets on the cusps of the tressure and a lis in the centre of the reverse suggesting the prototype was a quarter noble of Edward III's Treaty Period, the annulets seen in the 'Transitional Series' of 1361-3 (North 1224), the lis seen in the Treaty Series of 1363-9 (North 1243-4). A Medieval to Post-Medieval gold 10 Cruzados (Português) of Manuel I of Portugal (1495-1521), dating to AD1499-1521 (Gomez 74.05). The coin has a small, round punch mark (located at 3 o'clock on the line of the inner circle on the obverse, and by the top of the central cross at at 1 o'clock on the reverse) which has almost pierced the coin. The punch was made from reverse to obverse.

A complete Post-Medieval gold mourning ring, dating to AD 1708. The find is slightly convex on both the inner and outer edges. The hoop is plain, except for a Death’s Head engraved into the outer surface. A gold object of uncertain date, 13mm in length, comprised of two circular gold wire rings which were originally interlinked and which have been partially melted and fused together by exposure to fire or heat. The internal diameter of the rings is around 8.5mm and they are around 1mm thick with circular cross section. There are breaks in the rings which appear to be from heat damage rather than from the process of manufacture. Possibly a jewellery component, but of uncertain date. The ring is a memento mori ring with a hoop of flattened D cross-section. The inscription on the inside of the band gives the date of 13 Jan '97 (century unknown) in italic script, likely 1697. The outside of the band is almost completely plain apart from engraving of a skull. Gold Post-Medieval posy ring with D-shaped cross section, decorated on the outside with geometric pattern of ovals, triangles and discs.
