A complete gold and rock crystal finger ring, of Post Medieval dating (AD 1600 to AD1700). The finger ring has a distorted hoop of 'D-shaped' section, widening from the back to the bezel. Each shoulder is decorated by three longitudinal V shaped grooves, the outer ones bend inwards just above a short horizontal groove. A short longitudinal groove is present just below this line. Obverse: Wreath crossed by bar with crescent at each end, ring of pellets in each crescent? Reverse: Lunatehorse left, pellet at centre of body, [AVN] above, T CO[ST] (retrograde) below. As BMC p. 180, nos. 3259-3260; cf. ABC no. 1929. The coin has a copper-alloy core with the remains of plated gold surfaces. It has a diameter of 18.0 mm and is 2.8 mm thick. It weighs 2.9 g.

An incomplete strip of decorated gold, of probable Bronze Age dating (c. 2150 BC to c. 1150 BC). The strip of gold is sub rectangular in plan, and is folded horizontally (width ways) in half twice, forming a squashed 'S' shape. The strip has been decorated with a series of embossed ridges along its length. The strip has been severed at one end, with a ragged edge. The other edge can not be easily seen as it is hidden between the folds. It measures 25.3 mm in length, 16.1 mm wide and 9.1 mm thick. The strip is 0.8 mm thick. It weighs 5.2. g. Five of the coins are from the issues of Charles II, four guineas, which will be of the 22 carat 'crown gold' standard and one shilling, which will be of the sterling standard, over 90% fine metal.
