An incomplete copper-alloy bracelet or armlet of probable Roman date, c.AD 200 - 400. The object is sub-rectangular, with a D-shaped section and parallel sides extending from a complete rounded terminal to a worn break at the opposite end. An off centre perforation is present through the rounded terminal. The upper surface of the bracelet is decorated with a series of irregularly spaced transverse grooves. A complete copper-alloy button and loop fastener of Roman date, c.AD 43-200. Wild Class III. The head is pointed ovate with a central raised circular boss within a deep circumferential recess. The pointed terminal has a slight raised lenticular moulding. An integral shank extends down from the reverse of the boss and bends at 90 degrees before splitting in to two arms, and forming an open triangular loop. A copper alloy end looped cosmetic pestle dating to the late Iron Age to early Roman period (c. AD 100-200). The pestle is circular in cross section and concave in profile. The pestle consists of a circular loop created from the metal being bent back on itself. The bow of the pestle is then curved downwards, with the opposite end turning upwards and tapering to a point. A complete copper-alloy cruciform bead from a beaded torc of Iron Age date, c. 50 BCAD 150. The bead is cruciform, or quatrefoil, with a flattened central panel through which is a central square aperture. The aperture would have accommodated an iron rod onto which the beads would have been threaded. Each arm terminates in convex ovate lobes. An incomplete, Roman copper alloy twisted cable bracelet fragment dating to the period c. AD 320-450. It is formed from a pair of sub-circular section twisted cables of copper alloy. Both terminals are missing, and the cable is unwound in part at each end. The metal has a dark green patina. Length: 72.98mm, width: 4.4mm, thickness: 3.9mm, weight: 6.54g. Comparable examples of incomplete two-cable twisted bracelets have been recorded by the PAS, including: SOM-D6309F, SOM-E1DFB1. An examples with complete terminals: YORYM-7115F3.
