TREASURE CASE : 2021 T343 An incomplete fragment probably from a silver annular zoomorphic brooch dating to the Medieval period (AD 1200 - AD 1500). The fragment consists of a zoomorphic head, which would have formed the end of the brooch frame, with a narrow bar protruding from its mouth, which would have acted as a constriction for a pin.  The bar terminates in an uneven break. An incomplete copper-alloy toggle of late Iron Age to Roman date, c. 100 BC - AD 100. The toggle is of the dumbell type comprising two globular hemispherical terminals joined by a waisted central circular shaft. Integral raised collars are present where the shaft and terminals meet. One terminal is heavily worn, appearing smaller in diameter to the other. The metal has a dark red/brown patina and is worn.
