Silver Roman denarius of Severus Alexander (AD 222-235), probably dating to AD 228-35 (Reece Period 11), SAECVLI FELICITAS, Felicitas with patera over altar and long caduceus. Probably Mint of Rome. This exact coin is unpublished. A coin, listed as a hybrid in BMC (BMC VI, p. 219, no. 1068) is exactly the same except for the reverse legend which is spelt SECVLI FELICITAS. The style of the BM coin is more Eastern and is recorded as such in RIC (RIC IV, pt 2, p. 93, no. 299). This coin appears to be more the style of the Rome mint. It does appear to be regular. Find of Note.
