An incomplete Roman copper-alloy buckle, dating to c.AD 300 - 410. Half of the buckle frame remains. Hawkes and Dunning Type IIA. The remaining fragment is C shaped in plan and semi-circular in section, it is formed of a dolphin with a gaping jaw. A large ring and dot motif forms the eve and a large fin covers the dolphins back. At the base of tail is an incomplete circular loop which would have held the now missing spindle.

COS V P P S P Q R OPTIMO PRINC, DAC CAP (in exergue) reverse type depicting a Dacian seated left on a pile of arms. Mint of Rome. cf. RIC II, p. 251, no. 98. The coin has extensive corrosion and flaking to both faces, which might indicate this is possibly a contemporary plated copy.

An incomplete Roman copper-alloy steelyard dating to AD 43-410 It is roughly rectangular and flat with two round lugs each protruding from opposite edges, one near the break (filled with iron), one at the finished end. The finished terminal end is rounded, it has the same finish as the projecting lugs and has a centrally placed sub-circular hole. The broken edge is covered in iron corrosion. The steelyard is undecorated.

A body sherd of Post-Medieval wheel made 'Bartmann' or 'Bellarmine' German stoneware jug from Frechen, dating to AD 1550 - 1700. The pale grey fabric has c. 10% medium quartz sand temper, on its outer surface is a mottled brown salt glaze, only the external surface is glazed. The outer surface is decorated with a bearded face. The face design has large eyes, a linear nose and a prominently raised moustache. This detail is typically found on the necks of jugs, bottles or pitchers manufactured in the Cologne region.
