The projections are decorated with impressed circles with dots in the centre. There is a raised lip around the central hole. Copper alloy rectangular plate with two projecting prongs midway along one long side. The prongs are very slightly curved. There are four circular holes through the plate, two at each end. These are chamfered and were probably meant to take fixing rivets. On one face, the central area of the plate is slightly recessed and appears to take the form of a shield.
