A gold Iron Age Gallo-Belgic quarter stater, dating to the period c.80-60 BC, Gallo-Belgic D / Boat Tree type. Obverse: Boat with two occupants? Pellet to left. Reverse: Tree-like motif, wedge shaped line to either side, forked line below.  The weight of this coin, combined with the pellet in obverse field and wedge shaped motifs in reverse field suggest that this is probably a Gallo-Belgic D rather than an insular British type. This coin appears to be plated, with a base metal core visible beneath a plated surface, presumably intended to be a copy of a gold quarter stater.
