A post-medieval gilded copper-alloy contemporary copy of a Joanna (Queen of Castile and Aragon) and Charles V (1506-16) gold escudo struck after the death of Joanna when Charles became Charles I of Spain (1516-1558). Although a copy, the coin appears to be based on the gold escudo from the mint at Seville (with an S to the right of the shield on the obverse) of a type minted in 1535 (Clemente and Cayon 3147-8). Ref: Clemente and Cayon 2005: 473-4.

Incomplete silver bodkin of rectangular section and tapering in thickness from one end to the other. The bodkin is broken through the eye and is bent out of shape with the point curling inwards towards the head. The surface of the pin is extremely worn and only traces of the original decoration can now be seen. This appears to consist of a series of transverse lines.

Description: An incomplete, composite, gilt-silver cap hook or hat pin dating to the Early Post Medieval Period (1500-1600).
It consists of a circular, gilded, silver back plate with a border of radiating, rounded, sub-rectangular protrusions running the circumference of the plate. Two or possibly three are missing. Within this is a raised, circular, moulded ring decorated with diagonal linear indentations forming a twisted appearance. Description: A silver seal matrix dating to the Post-Medieval period. The seal matrix extends to a circular-section handle with beaded mouldings before terminating in worn oval attachment loop. The seal possesses a sub-circular die, engraved with a coat of arms made up of a chevron between three bulls' heads, over which is a helm, topped by a goblet. Four strands of elaborate mantling with floral highlights flow out from either side of the helm, and two shorter strands from the shield itself.

A cast silver strap/dress fitting of post-medieval date. The item has a lozenge shaped plate with bevelled edges. One end features a knop decoration with transverse ridge above it and a smaller spherical knop below. The other end features a semi-circular plate protrusion with the remains of a suspension hole and iron rivet inside.
There is a soldered flap of silver on the back which broadens at the unattached end, where there is still the remains of an iron rivet, likely the same one that originally fastened the flap down to the front plate.

A Post-Medieval lead Post Office bag seal dating to the reigns of William III (1689-1702) and Anne (1702-1714). It is circular in form with the remains of a transverse perforation that would have enabled attachment to a chord. Both faces carry stamped motifs. A copper-alloy stud dating to the early post medieval period, AD 1550 to 1700. The stud possesses a flat approximately circular body intended to represent a rose of four petals, with four triangular leaves between. A small lead-alloy token, probably dating to the early post medieval period, approximately AD 1550 to 1700. The token is flat and circular with cast decoration on both its upper and lower surfaces. A cast copper-alloy hooked tag or dress fastener dating to the early Post Medieval period, approximately AD 1550 to 1700. At one end, the hooked tag possesses a trapezoidal 'eye' which extends to a circular, slightly convex body. The upper surface of the body is decorated with a central raised circular panel with three letters. These are illegible. The central panel is encircled with a circumferential rim decorated with incised notches. At the other end, a D-sectioned hook extends. The hooked tag measures 29mm in length, a maximum of 13mm in width and 3mm in thickness.
