An early medieval silver early penny (sceat) of Primary Phase Series C2ii (BMC type 2, Blackburn C) dating to the period c.AD 700-10. Ref: Gannon 2013: 102-3, nos 128-35. The obverse features a Radiate bust of crude style facing right with a pyramidical neck, with Runic [ᚪᛈᚪ], APA before. The reverse depicts a beaded standard enclosing TOTII legend, probably with bases of crosses to sides and diagonals at angles.

An incomplete copper-alloy harness fitting, probably a link dating to the eleventh century AD. The fitting comprises a hemispherical-section arm which at one end terminates in a looped extension, now broken. At the other, a ribbed collar separates the arm from an oval terminal which is hollow and convex in section and appears to be also broken. The arm is rectangular in section and approximately trapezoidal in plan, with a slightly curved terminal. The arm is broken at its apex and bent back on itself. A fragment of a copper-alloy small-long brooch dating to the fifth or sixth centuries AD. The fragment comprises the leg, foot and catchplate of the brooch. An incomplete copper-alloy pin dating to the Early Medieval period (c. AD 700 - 1100). The pin has a large globular head, with a small rounded knop at the apex. The head is separated from the stem by two moulded collars. Below the collar, there extends a circular-section tapering stem with a rounded point. The length of the stem suggests that the pin may have been re-worked. The pin measures 37mm in length. The head has a maximum diameter of 12mm; the stem has a maximum diameter of 4mm.

A copper-alloy stirrup strap mount dating to the eleventh century AD. The strap mount possesses a lozengiform plate with integrally-cast saltire cross decoration, creating four lozengiform depressions. The upper two of the depressions possess oval perforations. At one end, the plate extends to a semi-circular projection with circular perforation. At the other, there extends at right angles a small backward facing projection which is completely coated in iron corrosion products. The strap mount measures 44mm in length, 27mm in width and a maximum of 6mm in thickness. It weighs 13.87g.

An incomplete Middle Anglo-Saxon copper-alloy pin. The head is a faceted rectangular cube 6.73mm x 5.77mm, with the corners cut off; there is a ring-and-dot motif on each of the four side faces. There is a small collar located beneath the head, from which extends an incomplete circular-section shaft c. 23mm in length. The total surviving length of the pin is 33.17mm and it weighs 2.38g. 8th or 9th century AD.

A copper-alloy frame from an Early-Medieval single-loop buckle. The frame is sub-oval in plan and also in cross section, having bevelled inner surfaces on its underside. Fragment of a gold finger-ring, comprising the bezel and part of the hoop. The bezel is oval-shaped with the remains of an integral hoop at each end: approximately 3mm at one and 8mm at the other.
