A copper alloy pen Medieval date. A cast copper-alloy pen with a lozenge faceted and twisted shaft. The shaft narrows into a plain, circular sectioned length at the distal end and and terminates in a rounded knop. There is a similar plain, narrow section between the faceted decoration and the lanceolate end. The lanceolate end has four curving, flat foils and tapers to a point. The shaft has been bent. Barbarous radiate. The obverse shows a very stylised radiate head, right which is possibly copying a bust of Carausius (large head with a squared nose) (AD 286-93) (Reece Period 14). The reverse probably shows Pax (a female figure standing with a vertical sceptre in her left hand). Both sides have attempted lettering, but it is not legible. This coin is included in Sam Moorhead's corpus for RIC.

Copper alloy buckle frame. An elongated D-shaped, single loop buckle frame. The pin is missing. The sides and outer edge of the frame are cast with Urnes style decoration. This comprises an asymmetrical design of interwoven sinuous interwoven beasts.The back is undecorated and slightly concave. The bar is slightly off-set from the frame and has a rectangular cross section. Dating from the late early medieval period, the second half of the 11th century (identified by Dr Kevin Leahy). Copper alloy coin weight. A circular, uniface weight for the Angel (a gold denomination). The weight shows the angel St Michael spearing a dragon. The image is similar to that which appears on the actual coin. Such weights were used to check that coins offered in payment or for exchange were the proper weight. Medieval copper alloy two-piece strap end. The front of the plate is slightly convex and undecorated, terminating in a crowned human head and neck cast in the round. The head has a three pointed crown and details of the hair (back and front), facial features and decoration on the crown have been incised. A cast copper alloy Langton Down brooch of early Roman date. The brooch measures 40mm in length and weighs 5.5g. The measurement across the incomplete cylindrical wings is 16.6mm. They conceal the remains of the spring for the missing pin. The bow has a thin rectangular cross section which is consistent throughout its length. On the front is engraved decoration comprising a vertical dotted double linear border beside each edge with a wavy line and spirals within. On the back are the remains of the perforated catchplate. Copper alloy finger ring, perhaps medieval. 19mm in diameter and weighing 0.99g. The ring is in fair condition with a golden patina (the object is a beach find, which may explain its condition). Its loop has an oval section and it has a sub-oval bezel decorated with an abstract pattern divided into two down its centre. One side is made up of diagonal incised lines and the other is made up of what looks like three Vs, the central one placed the opposite way round to form a pattern.
