Circumstances of discovery and reporting A hoard of 37 Roman silver coins was discovered by David Henry Moss and Tom Taylor on 20th-21st December 2018 and 19th January 2019 in Caerhun Community, Conwy. The coins were found while metal detecting on cultivated land that was under pasture at the time. The findspot (a National Grid Reference) of the coins and addresses of interested parties are given on the Treasure Receipt Form. Circumstances of discovery and reporting A ceramic pot containing 2733 Roman silver and copper alloy coins was discovered by David Henry Moss and Tom Taylor on 22nd December 2018 in Caerhun Community, Conwy.  The hoard was found while metal detecting on cultivated land that was under pasture at the time. The top of the pot was discovered at a depth of about 30cm below the surface of the field, at the top of a slight mound. Plain gold posy-ring. The thin, slightly misshapen hoop is of flattened-D cross-section, and the outer surface is cast and plain. The inner face of the hoop is inscribed with the text: Wheare this I give I wish to live, in italic script. External hoop diameter 17.5 x 18.4 mm; maximum band width 2.8mm; maximum band thickness 0.6mm; weight 0.93g. The ring has not undergone any cleaning or conservation. Roman copper alloy Polden Hill brooch of 1st or 2nd century AD date The brooch is incomplete, missing the leg and pin (with a surviving length of 33.7mm, a surviving depth of 15.1mm and a weight of 12.6g). The pin was sprung within tubular wings, now eroded and with around a copper alloy axis bar. The fragmentary loop of the pin and axis bar are present but are now loose. The wings are slightly truncated and had expanded terminals (with a width of 20.2mm and a diameter of 7.2mm). No applied decoration is evident on the wings. Roman coper alloy bow brooch of Wirral type and of 2nd century AD date. The brooch in incomplete, missing the pin, lower leg and top of the head-plate (with a s length of 47.0mm, a surviving depth of 19.3mm and a weight of 17.2g). The missing pin was hinged between semi-tubular lugs on the rear of the head (with a width of 12.6mm).
